Overview

During this E-course, Professor Richard Gevirtz PhD, will present an in-depth look at using Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback for the treatment of anxiety disorders. Panic disorders, specific phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety and trauma will be covered.

This course is designed to help you use the information gathered from HRV measurements to construct a 'Mediational' model to specify a treatment plan including HRV Biofeedback for various anxiety disorders. In each case combining HRV biofeedback with evidence based therapies for stress and anxiety disorders will be described.

This course follows the Heart Rate variability E-course.

Richard Gevirtz, PhD, is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego. He has been in involved in research and clinical work in applied psychophysiology and biofeedback for the last 30 years and published over 40 papers on biofeedback during that time in areas such as mind-body feedback, stress disorders, clinical protocols for the biofeedback, anxiety disorders and autonomic control.

Accreditation

This workshop is accredited by BCIA to provide 1.5 hours of accredited continuing education toward BCIA re-certification for biofeedback and HRV biofeedback.
